A special release from Francisca and Oscar of Las Lajas, this ultra limited microlot features their standout Hybrid 17 cultivar, selected for exceptional sweetness. Using only the highest Brix cherries from their top reserve, it’s processed with their signature Perla Negra natural method.
Only 8 bags were produced exclusively for us, making this one of the most limited and exciting coffees we’ve sourced from Las Lajas since 2009.
Las Lajas, based in Costa Rica’s Central Valley near Poás Volcano, is a pioneering, organic certified mill led by third generation producers Francisca Cubillo and Oscar Chacón. Their innovative Perla Negra process, born out of necessity after a 2009 earthquake, helped redefine natural processing in Costa Rica and beyond.
