Story
Step into the world of Wonderblend, where each sip reveals something new. Notes of strawberry wine and cherry candy create an irresistibly sweet first impression, while bright gooseberry acidity brings energy and intrigue to the cup. Vibrant, juicy, and wonderfully complex, this year's blend is a flavor adventure from start to finish.
Wonderblend is our annual seasonal blend, first introduced in 2021 to celebrate the adventurous side of specialty coffee. Each year we combine some of our favorite origins into a vibrant, fruit-forward blend that showcases the diversity of exceptional coffees. This year's release features three extraordinary naturally processed coffees, including extended and anaerobic fermentations, delivering bold, expressive flavors without the use of co-fermentation. Each component has previously stood on its own as a single-origin offering and now comes together in one unforgettable cup.
Inspired by the spirit of the legendary Mocha Java blend, Wonderblend pays homage to coffee's rich history while embracing the innovation shaping today's specialty coffee. If your first taste of Ethiopian Harar or Arabian Mocha sparked a sense of discovery, Wonderblend offers that same excitement through a fresh, modern lens.
This year's blend begins in India's Chikmagalur region, where Saif Ulla cultivates coffee at Gundikhan Estate near the Bhadra Tiger Reserve. A member of the KaadKaapi Collective, Saif produces exceptional naturally processed coffees while protecting native forests and wildlife.
From Bali's volcanic Kintamani Highlands comes coffee produced by the Subak Abian cooperatives. Guided by the Hindu philosophy of Tri Hita Karana—the "three causes of happiness"—these producers cultivate coffee among citrus trees, using innovative natural processing methods that create vibrant, full-bodied cups.
The blend is completed by Java Mt. Ijen, an anaerobic natural coffee produced by brothers Kenny and Kevin Soewondo of Kevenka Coffee in partnership with hundreds of East Java smallholder farmers. Their meticulous processing and commitment to quality showcase a bold, contemporary expression of Java's historic coffee tradition.
Together, these coffees highlight the remarkable possibilities of modern natural processing. The result is a lively, effervescent cup bursting with notes of strawberry wine, cherry candy, and gooseberry—a playful, fruit-driven blend that captures the spirit of Wonderblend.
We hope you enjoy this year's Wonderblend, just in time for summer.
