Story

Triangle Accent

Produced by AMPROCAL (Asociación de Mujeres Procesadoras de Café la Labor), this coffee is grown in Ocotepeque, Honduras. AMPROCAL is recognized for being the only 100% women-produced association in the region. The organization was established in 2007 to promote the sale of certified coffees from women producers, and provide microfinancing opportunities to its members. Initially, the association was founded by ten women, but has since grown to a membership of about 175 individuals and provides 13 permanent positions and 500 seasonal employment opportunities. In addition to financial and entrepreneurial support, AMPROCAL provides agronomic assistance to help improve coffee quality, productivity, and sustainability for its members. Aside from coffee farming, AMPROCAL has been running a successful wholesale roasting operation and cafe serving the town of La Labor, which helps to provide more jobs for their local community. This coffee has been an important component in our Lotus Blend and Decaf Espresso Blend, but it is so delicious, we are excited to also feature this microlot on its own.
