Story

Triangle Accent

This refined Ethiopian coffee offers a harmonious balance of ripe mango sweetness, delicate vanilla blossom florals, and juicy white peach acidity. Its silky body and delicate finish showcase exceptional clarity and elegance, making for a vibrant and nuanced cup.

Tigist Abyot is a dedicated specialty coffee producer based in the Shashamene Kebele, located within the Kochere woreda of Ethiopia's renowned Yirgacheffe region. Benefiting from a microclimate of warm days and cool nights influenced by the nearby Gelana River, her farm began with a gifted 2-hectare plot shared with her husband and has since expanded to 7.76 hectares. Abyot secured her export license in 2022 and successfully began international distribution in 2025. On the farm, Abyot and her family exclusively utilize the natural processing method. They manage 135 raised drying beds, where coffee cherries dry slowly over a 15-to-21-day period. To ensure uniform and even drying, the cherries are meticulously turned six times per day. The family also protects the drying harvest from rain and dropping nighttime temperatures by utilizing covered tarps. Looking ahead, Abyot aims to construct an on-site dry mill and invest in flotation tanks to systematically separate lower-quality floaters and underripe cherries from her top-tier lots. This exceptional coffee is sourced through our import partner, Trabocca, as part of their Operation Cherry Red (OCR) project, an initiative that spotlights outstanding smallholder producers, ensures premium payments, and builds transparent supply chains from farm to cup.
