Story
Kovachii, a certified organic coffee, is sourced from smallholder farmers in Cajamarca, a region in Northern Peru renowned for producing some of the country’s most expressive and refined coffee. We are proud to offer a coffee that embodies the care of the farmers who cultivated it and the unique character of the land it originated from.
Coffee farming in Peru is deeply rooted in hands-on, small-scale production. For Kovachii, cherries are harvested, de-pulped, and dried on patios, raised drying beds, or tarps—a process carried out by individual producers on their own farms. The highest-quality selections from these smallholder lots are meticulously combined, milled, and prepared for export.
In the cup, Kovachii is a delightful symphony of flavors. It begins with a sweet and layered taste, featuring dark stone fruit reminiscent of sweet plums. The familiar, rounded sweetness of cola complements the grounding nuttiness of toasted almonds, creating a comforting and well-balanced coffee experience.
