Story
Founded in 1996, ACODIHUE is a Fair Trade and Organic certified cooperative that represents over 40,000 farmers across western Guatemala. Rooted in respect for rural life, cultural diversity, gender equity, and community values, ACODIHUE invests in health, education, food security, sustainable agriculture, and environmental restoration to support its members.
Their coffee originates from 71% of indigenous women coffee producers in the mountainous Cuchumatanes region of Huehuetenango, located at an elevation of approximately 1,500 meters above sea level. The coffee undergoes a washed process, hand selection, and sun drying. The resulting coffee exhibits a taste reminiscent of praline, milk chocolate, and graham notes, which are classic characteristics of Guatemalan coffees.
