2025 GOOD FOOD AWARDS FINALIST

Roaster’s Reserve: Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Supernatural has made national headlines and has officially been named a 2025 Good Food Awards Finalist. This prestigious honor is one of the most respected in the food and beverage industry. This marks the third time since its 2017 launch that a single-origin coffee from DRINK COFFEE DO STUFF has been selected as a finalist. Humble brag: we were thrilled to win in 2018 with another Ethiopia coffee, just a year after our business began!

This coffee isn’t just special to us; it’s objectively exceptional.

Sourced from smallholder farmers in the renowned Banko Chelchele Kebele neighborhood of Yirgacheffe, this lot is vibrant, expressive, and bursting with an intense aroma. Prepare to be captivated by an explosion of stone fruit, ripe strawberry, rose florals, and a touch of powdered sugar sweetness, all carried by a creamy, luxurious body that feels incredibly silky. Our sourcing team highly recommends it as one of the best coffees they’ve ever brought in, and we’re confident you’ll agree!

So, why “supernatural”? It all comes down to the processing.

Whole coffee cherries are meticulously sealed in carbon fiber drums and undergo a fermentation process that lasts up to 10 days. Afterward, they are carefully dried on raised beds. This extended natural process enhances the fruit character and builds complex sugars, resulting in a cup that tastes like nectarine and strawberry intertwined with cream and dusted with confectioner’s sugar. Grown at an altitude of 7,500 feet and roasted with intention at that same altitude, this coffee exudes elegance, clarity, and an unforgettable taste.

This coffee is like the bottle of wine you save for yourself, the pour-over that impresses your guests, and the coffee that quietly ruins other coffees.

Like all Roaster’s Reserve offerings, quantities are extremely limited. Once it’s gone, it’s truly gone.
