The coffee is meticulously processed and sorted as Strictly Hard Bean quality at Beneficio Palmichal, operated by NKG Ceca S.A. Strategically located between Tarrazú and the Central Valley, the mill supports traceability and quality at every stage of production.

Long recognized as one of the world’s premier coffee-growing regions, Tarrazú earned Denomination of Origin status in 2019, affirming its reputation for exceptional coffee. This lot reflects the region’s distinctive character and the dedication of the farming families who cultivate it.

Story:

Barefoot Coffee Roasters was born in 2003 from a simple idea: treat coffee as a culinary product by delivering seasonal, farm fresh beans with wildly intense flavors.  We travel to origin to find the most conscientious producers and hand select the coffees that take our breath away.. Most of our harvests are purchased from farmers we have known personally for many years, which results in a higher quality product that echoes our beliefs...

We roast with an emphasis on highlighting origin character versus roast character, enabling us to share with you the uniqueness of each coffee's terroir and inherent nuances. We choose flavor descriptors like banana split sundae, guava, chocolate ganache, cola berry and thick dollops of plum molasses because that's what you get with Barefoot Coffee.
