Story

Triangle Accent

On August 21, 36 competitors took the stage at the American AeroPress Championship at Big Night Live and brewed this exact coffee live. No one, not the competitors, the audience, nor the home brewers, knew what it was.

On Friday night, the answer was revealed on stage: Ethiopia Ayla Bombe, a washed heirloom lot from Sidamo, grown between 1,950 and 2,000 meters. Phillippe Akira Kato brewed it exceptionally well and emerged as the U.S. champion.

If you purchased a bag before the reveal, now’s the opportunity to test your guess. Even if you didn’t, the coffee remains available, the same one used by the competitors.

Story:

Atomic Coffee Roasters is a second-generation, family-run coffee company founded in 1996 on Boston's North Shore. With three Q Graders on staff, Atomic roasts to order in small batches from two production facilities, a roastery in Peabody, MA, and a cold-brew facility in Danvers, MA. Our lineup ranges from year-round core blends to rotating single origins, seasonal releases, and cold brew.

Atomic's mission is to spread positive energy. For nearly three decades, our family has used coffee as a catalyst for inspiring community, relationships, and adventures.
