Offering a medium body, this classic Guatemalan coffee gives notes of tart dried cherry and citrus lemon-lime tanginess. Sweet, nutty almond comes through at the end which comes to a slight lingering finish.
For ten years we have worked with Patricia Perez of El Diamante, sourcing her various single origin coffees. Resting at approximately 1500 meters above sea level, Finca El Diamante is owned and operated by Patricia Perez and her mother. Together they oversee every aspect of production on the farm; from planting saplings to picking only the ripest cherries, from processing the seeds to milling and exporting. Patricia's superior knowledge of coffee production comes from her family's eighty year history of coffee cultivation. Their dedication to their craft is unmatched, and it shows in the quality of the cup. Just as we enjoy featuring Patricia’s exemplary coffees, we appreciate her continued contributions to her region's coffee community which has helped Huehuetenango become a fixture of the specialty coffee world.
