Story
This crisp light roast opens with sweet aromas of candied almond and black cherry. Notes of nougat and tamarind in the cup mingle with papaya sweetness and candied lemon peel acidity. The slightly herbal finish is reminiscent of eucalyptus.
"Margarita Cabrera Poblano grew up in a coffee farming household. As she came of age she took on increasing responsibility, thriving at cultivation, pruning, shade trees, and nurturing the soil. Her family has thrived as a result and she’s happy to see her children and grandchildren continuing in coffee. She takes extreme care with hygienic practices at all of their washing stations, assiduously cleaning fermentation tanks and pulpers after every batch.
"Margarita’s farm is named 'Ocotzalan', or 'among ocotes', which refers to a popular pine in the area known as ocote or ayacahuite in Nahuatl.
