The society operates three factories: Kii, Karamikui, and Kiangoi.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eRung’eto boasts over 850 members, many of whom contribute cherry to the Kii Factory. Constructed in 1995 at the foot of Mt. Kenya, the Kii River, nearby, provides both the factory’s name and clean water for washing high-quality coffees.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe factory is predominantly supported by women farmers, each managing approximately 0.5 hectares of land. These farmers inter-crop coffee with avocados, macadamias, bananas, and other subsistence crops.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAgronomists at Kii conduct regular farm visits, offering guidance on optimal timing and application of treatments. In return, Kii receives exceptional cherries, and farmers are rewarded generously.
