Story

Triangle Accent

Classic Blend

Our iconic house coffee - the one we’ve been roasting and loving since the early days. If you’re searching for your perfect everyday cup, you’ve found it.

We source only the freshest, in-season washed coffees, purposefully chosen for balance and depth. Classic is a dynamic fresh-crop blend crafted for those who value complexity, consistency, and quality in every sip.

The components will evolve with the harvest seasons, but the flavor profile remains steadfast: caramel, chocolate, and stone fruit in harmonious balance. Each iteration is a thoughtful combination of our latest Central and South American lots, showcasing the best of the regions we love most.

Prep:

For Use as an Espresso or Filter

Our recommended starting point for espresso extraction is 18 grams in, 42 grams out in 27-30 seconds. For filter, start with a 1:15 ratio coffee to water (filtered, delicious water), 3+ minute brew time, minimal agitation. Adjust to your preference.

Story:

Kuma means bear in Japanese. The founder of the company spent time in Japan before moving back to the states and adopting a big shaggy dog that looked like a bear, so they named it Kuma. Years later came the coffee company and they named it after their dog.

Kuma Coffee started as a guy roasting coffee in his garage in Seattle, Washington. A guy with a passion to find coffee that tasted excellent, roast it very carefully, and get that coffee into people's hands. It was not about how shiny the package was, it was about how delicious the coffee inside it tasted.

Another great Kuma roast. I do a normal grind on this and use it in a couple of Italian stove top pots. Works great with some warm milk and a bit of agave. I get a lot of compliments on this.

This was a pretty tasty coffee. Inoffensive and easy to drink. I would order this again.
