This year's Holiday Blend is comprised of coffees from some of Africa’s most familiar producing countries. The blend is built around a vibrant and complex coffee from Kenya which helps to bring out the flavors of the blend’s other components. A pair of coffees from Ethiopia contribute flavors of fruit and spices, as well as delicate floral notes. And finally, a coffee from a lesser-known producing country in Africa finishes the blend; this savory coffee from Zambia rounds out the blend by adding subtle herbal notes that complement the other component coffees beautifully.
All the blend’s components were processed using the washed method, where they are pulped after harvesting, fermented, then washed clean of any residual fruit before drying. The various varieties of the component coffees and terroir where each was cultivated, coupled with this processing contributes to the unique flavor profile Holiday Blend possesses, which reminds us of the holiday season.
