Story

Triangle Accent

Due to limited availability and high tariffs on Brazilian coffee, we’ve transitioned this offering to beans from Mexico. After extensive evaluation, we found these coffees meet, and in some cases exceed, the quality of last year’s Brazilian lot, which was impacted by a weak harvest.

Farm Info
This lot comes from partner farms in the Veracruz growing region. APG works closely with local producers, providing technical support and guidance on organic best practices. Cherries are delivered to the APG wet mill, redesigned to prioritize lot separation and quality control. Coffees are carefully sorted and floated to remove defects, then depulped and fermented under controlled pH and temperature conditions to optimize flavor. After washing, the coffee is slow-dried on raised beds and stored in GrainPro cocoons. Final milling is handled at the APG dry mill, ensuring consistent care from farm to export.

Story:

Barefoot Coffee Roasters was born in 2003 from a simple idea: treat coffee as a culinary product by delivering seasonal, farm fresh beans with wildly intense flavors.  We travel to origin to find the most conscientious producers and hand select the coffees that take our breath away.. Most of our harvests are purchased from farmers we have known personally for many years, which results in a higher quality product that echoes our beliefs...

We roast with an emphasis on highlighting origin character versus roast character, enabling us to share with you the uniqueness of each coffee's terroir and inherent nuances. We choose flavor descriptors like banana split sundae, guava, chocolate ganache, cola berry and thick dollops of plum molasses because that's what you get with Barefoot Coffee. Are you craving Barefoot Coffee yet?

Found this Brazilian Redcab delicious in a rich nutty chocolate kind of way. Aromas of cacao and hazelnuts, with a deep satisfying moca chocolate taste. A tasty finish with each sip, leaving you content, warmed, and ready to skate or sled or begin the day. One of my favorites!
