Wet-Hulled Process: this method of processing is synonymous with Sumatran coffees, and is only practiced in Indonesia. Wet-hulled coffees are unique because they add body, and minimize acidity. The reasons behind this process are rather complex, and are more based on economic and environmental factors in Indonesia, than the actual finished product.
Sumatran coffee definitely have some unique flavors, but they may not be for everyone. This particular single origin from Takengon showcases a lot of characteristics you'd expect from a Sumatran coffee, including a full body, low acidity, earthiness, and notes of cedar, and dark chocolate.
