disOnyx Cocktail
A great iced coffee by Ryan Castelaz you will not forget!

Ingredients

  1. Make simple syrup.
  2. Make the cold brew.
  3. Next, begin making the drink.
  4. Garnish.
  5. Serve over ice in 12 oz high ball.

Directions

DRINK INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 ounces - Grapefruit-Lemongrass Simple Syrup ( See recipe below
  • 1 ounce - Toddy Cold Brew ( Onyx Coffee Labs Geometry Blend)
  • 6 ounces - Tonic
  • Garnish with Grapefruit Peel
  • Ice

Grapefruit - Lemongrass Simple Syrup:

  • 30 oz Simply brand Grapefruit Juice or other
  • 5 oz Honey
  • 1/2 cup Fresh Lemongrass Chopped (or several dashes of dried lemongrass)
  1. Bring Simply Grapefruit Juice to a low boil, reduce to a simmer, and steep 75 grams of Lemongrass for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and immediately incorporate Honey.
  2. Strain + chill.
  3. *This recipe makes enough syrup for 15 drinks. You could easily half the recipe, but I wouldn’t recommend going much below that! The syrup will last in the fridge in an air-tight container for 1-2 weeks.
