This week I would like to share with you an outstanding decaf
from Ritual! Most people who have been to the office will tell you that we are a
pretty caffeinated crew here at GoCoffeeGo. Often by noon, we’ve had 8 or 10
shots of espresso with no end in sight. There is coffee, coffee everywhere! With
enough energy to blast off to the moon, I click on our music player on the top of
our sites browser and by the 2nd song, I am dancing around the room with
coffee sloshing from my cup, as the GoCoffeeGo girls: Latté, Cinnamon, Mocha
and Sugar watch in amusement. While it certainly helps ones productivity, and
keeps the office lively, I realize that sometimes I need to slow it down just a little
bit. The other day, the wonderful people at Ritual dropped off a bag of their new
La Serrania Decaf to try. I had planned to wait till lunch but decided to brew it up
right away. I have to say that I really loved this Columbian blend. Everyone did.
I continued on to drink 3 cups, one after another, all in a row. While I didn’t
jump on my Jonathan Adler coffee table for a dance, I did tap my foot happily
with every decaffeinated sip! Its description is a bit unusual, yet wonderful….
Coffee notes of condensed milk, red bean pastry and pancake syrup. I pondered
each note and indeed, it was quite accurate! It's a sweet and creamy decaf coffee
ideal for breakfast or anytime. I enjoyed mine with a bit of cream and sugar.
This is a really worthy decaf even for the caffeinated crowd. It is hard to resist
something so pancakey and maple syrupy in your cup!
