This dark roasted velvety masterpiece from Massachusetts
roaster John Mahoney’s Atomic Café is an exotic mix of beans
sourced from Papua New Guinea (PA-poo-Y nyoo GIN-ee) and
Costa Rica. The mix is quite wonderful because it produces such
a rich yet clean and refreshingly smooth cup. The smokiness
never overpowers. Dark roast lovers rejoice! Brewed hot or cold,
it can be sipped all day long. It’s an east coast/ west coast
brokerage house customer favorite and one of mine too.
If variety is the spice of life, then Dogwood's sampler
4 pack is for you! We first heard about Dogwood
Coffee from a GoCoffeeGo roaster whose
greatly respect. The roaster tried their coffee and
thought they were a real discovery! Having a little
bit of Christopher Columbus in me, I decided to take
voyage and explore their offerings for myself. I have
to say that I was atonished! We were all very
impressed and surprised at the quality of coffee being
produced out of this small Minneapolis
roastery, founded in 2010. With head roasters,
Stephanie Ratanas and Eddie Anderson
it's smooth sailing ahead. They do a bang up job of
roasting, sourcing and picking really delicious coffee.
In our eyes, Stephanie Ratanas is on her way to
becoming a full fledged coffee rockstar. She boards
prop planes with the best of the boys, and she often
can be found traveling around the globe to origin to
meet with farmers to source killer coffee for
Like many of our roasters, Dogwood coffees are very
seasonal. They can revolve in and out quite quickly,
but that keeps things exciting! For a while now,
Dogwood has had a great sampler set of four of their
current coffee offerings. It is a great opportunity to
try a mix of what they are roasting. Often the 4 pack
includes a mix of African and central American
coffees, as well as a bag of Mixtape, their revolving
and ever evolving signature blend. Give Dogwood a
try and see why we think they are not just the little
roastery that could but the little roastery that
would… Dogwood! :)

Wake up! Mix it up a bit! This set could be a
real eye-opener. Like a DJ choosing a playlist,
Barefoot keeps things exciting with smaller

more complex and fruity seasonal drip coffees. It is a
nice opportunity to try a
few Barefoot offerings and see what you think. At the
very least, it will leave
you feeling well traveled without the jet lag. For those
that want to play it a bit more safe there is also a
Traditional 3 bag sampler which tend to have more
notes, heavier mouth feels and are less complex.
These are really great as well. Try this or don't!

Mike at Klatch coffee has
done it again with this phenomenal naturally
processed Panama coffee. Panama Elida Natural is
not your typical coffee. It is almost like a Geisha type
for a considerably lower price. This beauty
produces wonderful sweet berries and
floral notes. It has a berryish
chocolatey body with a bit of boysenberry and guava.
It finishes with an almost banana aftertaste.
It is currently the number one favorite coffee of
member Nzo right now.
I have to agree, it is one not to miss.
