en they explained to me, I thought it was too difficult to implement so many changes… At the end of their visit the engineer asked: “Would you like to take the chance?” Yes!! I said, but only if you guide me through the process!! We started by cleaning up everything at the farm. We attended some lessons and little by little started making changes. Some months later, when our friends visited our house, they were surprised by how clean and tidy it looked and asked: “Are you throwing a party?” I said, “It does look nice doesn’t it? What happens is that we are I a Farm Improvement Program and it is like throwing a party!!” Today I understand better the Farm Improvement Program. It takes care of all our surroundings: our family, our neighbors, our houses and constructions. But also our coffee fields, animals, woods and water sources and also, the soil where we grow our food. All these with one main objective: Our children and their future! We want to continue producing coffee in a friendlier way. This helps us improving our living standards, Empresas de Narino pays higher prices for coffee from improved farms and consequently both my family and our community can have better life. “
