Outside of the town of Carmo de Minas in the southern part of the state of Minas Gerais, the Pereira family has been cultivating coffee for over 100 years. Sertão translates to “big open space” or wilderness, which describes the remoteness of the land when it was first settled. Today, coffees from Sertão and the surrounding family of farms are celebrated as some of the best that Brasil has to offer. Grown at an average of 1200 meters above sea level, this Yellow Bourbón varietal offers up a cup that is incredibly round, sweet, and full in body.
