Kenya Ruarai AA

Ruarai is a washing station that is part of the Ruthaka Cooperative Society. Prized SL28 and SL34 coffee varietals are handpicked by members of the cooperative during the harvest. Ruarai washing station is one the oldest mills in the Nyrei district producing AA quality coffee since 1953. Over the last 3 years the mill has undergone coffee quality and quantity improvement with the help of FLO and Fair Trade International. Their efforts are paying off: this is one of the best and most intriguing lots from Kenya we have cupped this year.
