volcanic loam topped with a heavy layer of organic matter. The steep part of the farm is home to Bourbon and Pacas varietals, but also includes a flat area or tablon dedicated to the exotic Pacamara. Farmers Maria José and Luis Rodriguez have planted a garden with nearly 65 coffee varietals for research purposes, an indicator of their commitment to producing the best possible coffee through hard work and innovation.
