Kenya Gikanda
Grown by members of the Gikanda Farmer's Cooperative Society in the famous Nyeri region. The Gikanda organization is comprised of three smaller cooperatives, including the Kangocho group that we featured a few months ago. This coffee was processed meticulously at the Gichathaini mill by the washed method. Purchased directly, outside of the Kenya auction, guaranteeing a high fixed price to the farmers for their coffee. Made up of beans from trees of two Bourbon-derived varieties that are widely grown in Kenya, SL-28 and SL-34.
