fe in the area. His farm is Rainforest Alliance Certified, meaning all coffee produced on the farm is done so in accordance with ecological and socio-economic criteria developed by the Sustainable Agricultural Network, a coalition of independent, environment-focused NGOs. Cup of Excellence is the best known and most well respected competition for green coffee in a given country of origin. The first Cup of Excellence competition was held over twelve years ago in Brazil, and since then has been duplicated in other coffee producing countries throughout Latin America and in East Africa.
