Ferraro’s farm El Espino, located near the town of Zarcero in the West Valley growing region and, a sparkling, fruit-forward Kenya from the Kiama Farmers Cooperative Society’s Kiangundo mill in the Nyeri growing region. After many test batches failed to bring our flavor concept to fruition, we decided to add another coffee, a deep, berry-toned natural processed coffee from Ethiopia’s Sidama growing region. Despite the seemingly small percentage of this third component, it really helped knit the blend together and broaden the fruit-tones we were looking for. In the end we found our complexity by working with the coffees to bring out their inherent flavors of fruit, spice and chocolate. We will feature this coffee in November and December, with enough time to carry you through the holiday season and into the new year. Cupping Notes: Rich milk chocolate-toned flavor intertwined with baking spices, cherry and round citrus.
