n Colombia, sets up warehouses in various regions and partners with the growers association there. Most of the growers are very small, wet milling their coffee with small, sometimes hand cranked depulpers, traditionally fermenting the coffee and drying the coffee on rooftops or small greenhouses. Producers can choose to sell their coffee with Virmax, who will grade, roast and cup every lot and assign a level of quality to it, A, AA or AAA. If the lot is not up to standards it may be rejected. If it is outstanding, it may be kept separate as a micro lot. Producers are paid more for greater cup quality.
