Tucked between three volcanoes in the Antigua region in central Guatemala, this coffee reminds us of summertimeís berry lemonade. A syrupy mouth feel is a treat, as notes of lemon drop and raspberry mix with milk chocolate lusciousness. We canít wait for you to try this beauty from Guatemala. Hunapu is what locals (Cackchiquel tribe) called the Volcan de Agua (big one in Antigua
, of the 3 volcanoes). It means Mountain of Flowers. The coffee is called Hunapu because all the places where the Hunapu is grown you can see the big Volcano, It is all grown in the Antigua Region. It is grown at an altitude of 1500-1800 meters. Coffee comes from 250 -300 producers in Antigua. All the producers were given technical assistance for 5 years to help them improve their productivity and quality. All coffee is Caturra, Catuai or Bourbon varietals. Everything is shade grown.
