This afternoon I made a batch of my new 'twisted' ice
drinks and took them over to my neighbor ~ she was
so thankful as she had a stressed day, it was hot and
she laughed and told me she was thinking about
having a glass of wine as she was prepping dinner…so
I served her a ‘twisted espresso’ and sat at the table
with her darling little boy (just learning how to
walk)... He saw his mom smile as she was drinking it
and he said "yep Peg, thank you cuz momma needs to
drink her milk too so she'll grow big and strong!" We
both cracked up and agreed. Here is the
recipe....tried true and yummy.
So here is the magic Ms Peg recipe: Let’s call it: Peg's
Twisted Summer Pleasure ~ sure all your peeps at
Johnson Brothers will love that.
~ First: I used JBC Johnson Brothers Twisted
espresso blend, brewed it 'strong/robust' in my Jura
Capresso and poured it into an ice cube tray and stuck
it in the freezer to make "Twisted Ice Cubes."
~ INGREDIENTS:
6 large twisted espresso ice cubes
• ¼ cup nonfat half and half
• ¼ cup Kahlua
~ TOPPING:
Dash of Cinnamon
~ DIRECTIONS:
Put the 6 twisted ice cubes in the blender
• add the liquids
• Blend until smooth
• Pour into serving glasses ~ sprinkle the top
with a dash of cinnamon.
Using my ice cube trays (which makes large cubes)
this yields 1 ½ cups of frozen drink, so depending on
what size glass you use, it will easily make two
servings. But ~ forewarned ~ you’ll want to have
another as this drink will surely get your guests to say
“molto delizioso ~ posso avere un altro favore?”
Very delicious, may I have another please?
This recipe is going in the cookbook I am currently
writing….of which I will include where to buy JBC
Twisted coffee beans...At GoCoffeeGo.com :)
Ciao bella, Peg
